Quite a story behind this conversion :)

The mama who is getting this conversion fell in love with the Natibaby Elves wrap. She knows that I have this wrap, but the Nati Elves is one of my perma stash wraps. Then she got a Kimimela "Pink Skull" carrier on FSOT, a carrier that has been from my very early days. She loves it so much that she asked me to make a Mei Tai for her with a Fairy Theme. She looked for a long time on various FSOT Sections and finally came across the KoKaDi wrap. After talking to my friend from Eilish Tree, we decided that this wrap would be lovely to convert with a Fairy theme... and this is the outcome of it :)

A MAXI wrap conversion with Mei Tai Style shoulderstraps and a 4" padded waistbelt.

I also decided to add a little surprise to the carrier for the little girl who is sooo in love with Fairies. A matching fairy doll made by Eilish Tree :)

..and to be honest, where else is a better place to get a fairy theme crafted than here in Ireland ;)

3. The Sleephood will automaticaly turn into a perfect headsupport for babies or small children who don't like sleephoods pulled over there heads...
3. Die Kopfstuetze formt sich automatisch zu einer perfekt angepassten Kopfstuetze fuers Baby. Bei schon aelteren Babys und Kleinkindern kann man diese auch sehr gut verwenden, wenn die Kleinen keine "Kopfbedeckung" moegen ;)

If the baby is asleep, just flip the folded down part of the sleephood over the head of your baby

Wenn das Baby eingeschlafen ist, kann man einfach den umgeklappten Teil der Kopfstuetze hochklappen und somit den ganze Kopf "verstecken".

This Watermelon Spice I received had the Babywearing Ireland logo embroidery in the middle of the wrap!

.....ok....... how shall I cut it to get every pattern out of the wrap without distroying this lovely applique.

I have managed as you can see :) and I hope that the Mama will love it as much as I do:)

This is a beautiful Girasol wrap. It was an exclusive wrap for Babywearing Ireland in 2008.

This conversion has a 16" body, padded waistbelt, wrap style shoulder straps, adjustable neckwidth and an adjustable sleephood with the standard loops at the side, so you can use the sleephood as a necksupport/ headsupport. Very handy if you have a child that doesn't like sleephoods over there head (talking from experience here ;))

This wrap conversion is for a very lovely Mam with the patient of a Saint :) Thanks for your patience during my unplanned June break.

Kimimela is now working together with the lovely Mama from Eilish Tree who will be doing the appliques on my carriers and this one was her first art theme on a Kimimela.It is just stunning!!!!! Thank you so much Carinne to turn it into a REAL lagoon!

This is a MINI sized wrap conversion with adjustable sleephood and neck width adjustment.

The waist is 4" and lightly padded.

I have done the pics outside as Mathilda my "Model" is at a friends house. I will get more pics tomorrow :)

Hopefully these pics will be enough for now to show the beautiful theme on this carrier :)

June was a unplanned sewing break for me. Lots of things happened that I just couldn't sit down and concentrate in the evenings.

No worries, all good distractions :) I had my 40th birthday and my parents came over for a surprise... and WHAT a surprise to me!!!!

On request I was working on "pull-over" padding for Wrapstyle shoulderstraps.

With those universal pull-overs, you could have your shoulderstraps either way ;)

This is the first pull-over version and will be tested by its new "owner". She is an experienced babywearer and I'm looking forward to her feedback.

I'm planning on making a few more of those and send them out to get tested, but first I'm waiting for this Mamas feedback :)

Ohhh... my lil DD was all delighted when she saw the pink wrap. She wasn't happy at all when I told her, that this is not her wrap. Her answer: MY pink flowers!! ... who is the bigger wrap lover?? Me or her???

I was very curious about this wrap, as I have never heard from them before and me as wrap addict had to have a closer look at this wrap. It is just wonderful! Reminds me very much at a Gira ;)

Anyways, this wrap was lovely to work with... brand new shipped over to me, not broken in.... just perfect :)

This wrap has just the right features to be a wonderful conversion. I hope the Mama will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed working at it :)

Wrap Conversion Purple Hoppediz Florenz

This wrap conversion made from the beautiful Hoppediz Florenz was a pleasure to sew.

I really like the Florenz and used to have a naked one which I had traded.

Apprently this wrap had quite a travel and made a few Mamas and Babys happy.

Sometimes you do wonder where some wraps have been and how long have they stayed... why did they move on?

Anyways, the purple dyed Hopp Florenz is a Mini Wrap Conversion with Mei Tai Style Shoulderstraps and an adjustable hood. The 5" waistbelt is slightly padded.

Edit: Just seeing that the Loops at the headrest look uneven.... they are not, just didn't pull the hoody right in place before taking pictures

I have changed the carrier descriptions

the standard sized 16" (40cm) will now be a MINI

the toddler sized 18" (45 cm) will now be a MIDI

and the MAXI will be 20" (50cm)

The 16" could be used from a very early stage, even though I recommened them from 3 months onwards.

With a folded waistbelt and the body slightly chinched an under 3 months has a perfect fit in the carrier. By using the Loops at the hoodrest your baby gets additional head support which is very important until they are able to control their head by themselves.

The body of my carriers are shaped for a reason, espacially the MINI sized. If you use the carrier for a small baby and fold the waistbelt once, the width will go from approximately 16" to approximately 12".

The waistbelt is folded once and the panel slightly chinched. The width of this carrier is less then 10" on this picture :)

Wrap Conversion Hoppediz Panama

This wrap conversion is a toddler sized conversion and the shape of the panel is a straight shape.

The Mama who is getting this conversion asked me for a straight panel instead of a slightly curved on.

The wrap conversion has wrap style shoulder straps and a light padded waistbelt, adjustable sleephood and an adjustment at the panel.

I wanted to do the adjustment differently, but it didn't work out they way I wanted it...

...but I'm working on it ;)

Since it didn't worked out the right way, I asked Berit from Baby-Roo if it was ok, to do it similar to hers, which she uses on the Huckepack SSC's. I was delighted she agreed :) Thanks Berit :)
